Omar Sial is a lawyer based in Karachi, Pakistan who specializes in all aspects of criminal law.

Omar began his practice in 1999 after being enrolled as an advocate of the district courts' of Sindh. In 2001 he read for a master of law degree from the University of Cambridge. In 2002 he was enrolled to practice in all the high courts’ of Pakistan. After working with national and international law firms for 5 years, Omar established his own independent practice in 2006. Since that time, he has appeared in numerous high profile criminal cases and has been the first port of call in matters of white collar crime.

Omar is a Noon scholar and also a fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust. He lectures on law at the Lyceum School and is also the chairman of its disciplinary committee. He has been invited to lecture new judges on various aspects of fatal car accidents at the Sindh Judicial Academy. He is a contributing writer for the NYU Law School’s Global Hauser Law Research program and also writes on political issues for various news organizations. Omar is also a member of the Oxbridge Society of Pakistan

At a professional level he is a member of the Karachi Bar Association and the Sindh High Court Bar Association. He is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Criminal Lawyers.
